Introducing Ellis Pool Service
If you've been in the Utah County pool scene during the last decade chances are you have run into me or talked to me over the phone or done a pool inspection with me. I've been working at the Utah County Health Department since the Cryptosporidiosis outbreak of 2007. I've inspected swimming pools from Eagle Mountain to Payson from 2007 to now. I've reviewed plans for about 100 pools since 2014 when I became the Utah County Swimming Pool program manager. Along with those plan reviews, I've done the piping, pre-plaster, and final inspections on nearly all of those. I've worked with pool engineers, builders, developers, owners, managers, and pool operators and developed some great relationships along the way. I've participated on the State's Swimming Pool Advisory Committee and the CLEHA Pool Committee. I've taught the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course and have been a CPO since 2008. I have helped owners and operators determine the correct equipment to install when old equipment has needed replacing or upgrading by calculating pool turnovers and flows and comparing those with pool code requirements. Did you know that manufacturer specifications don't always meet the pool code? I've run into that over and over, where a piece of equipment will be installed based on manufacturer's specs and they are not compliant with the state pool code. I can help you navigate those specs and codes to find where they overlap and everyone is happy. I can help you keep your swimming patrons safe and healthy. I can help you prolong the life of your pool and its equipment.
I'm Jake Ellis and I'm applying for a job. I want to be your pool operator! You won't regret it!
